Education is the key to a healthy and prosperous society. America’s future isn’t going to be built with our sweat and muscle but with our minds and ideas. Each one of us has an interest in the nation becoming more educated. We need to spend more time talking about the failures — and successes — of our educational system. That is where The Hechinger Institute comes in. Through our many efforts we hope to redirect the conversation about education away from day-to-day minutiae and toward bigger issues and ideas.
